Australian Championships a huge success!
A record crowd of more than 100 players from all over Australia and New Zealand – and a few from even further abroad – converged on Tweed Heads for the most successful Australian Open ever held. Simon Ustick claims online crown
After three months of highly-competitive play, Simon Ustick has emerged the Eva Bitel champion for 2025. Simon defeated Steve Quinn in a riveting best-of-three final, overcoming a 0-5 start in the decider to win 11-9 with a cubed gammon in the last game. Playing at a level worthy of such a significant tournament, Simon recorded world class 3.72 PR, with Steve returning a PR of 5.62.
