2022 Aus Champs: All Results

2022 AUSTRALIAN BACKGAMMON CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS

Here are the results of the 2022 Australian Backgammon Championships held from 11-13 November 2022 at the Diggers Sports Club, Gold Coast, Queensland.

85 players enjoyed a busy 3 days of backgammon. 323 matches were played, 26 players cashed and 14 of them went home with a trophy as well. 100% of entry fees were returned to the players, amounting to more than $20,000 in prize money.

Thanks to all who attended and congratulations to all the winners!

Thanks to our sponsors ANZBGF for providing the trophies and Crisloid for the stunning custom board awarded to Open Champion Tim Hochgrebe.

Extra special thanks to our fabulous desk staff Sharne Dyett and Barbara Salomon – without them this event would be impossible to run. Sharne also took hundreds of photos that Mel Kelf then spent most of the weekend posting and keeping everyone updated…
